Court Timings & Schedule Rules:
- Team must be at the assigned court 15 minutes before the game.
- Upon discretion, the Tournament Committee has the right to disqualify teams that will arrive late.
- Warm up time is set for 5 minutes for each match.
- A maximum of twenty (20) seconds is allowed between points.
- A maximum of ninety (90) seconds will be granted for changing sides.
- A maximum rest period of (120) second will be granted at the end of each set.
- 20 seconds will be granted for changes of side in a “tie break”.
- In the case of injury, the player will be granted a 3-minutes break for treatment.
- In case of indirect accident result during the game of which affect one of the players, the official
- physicians / physiologists may use their discretion to grant a period for treatment not more than 15 minutes.
REGISTRATION RULES:
- Registration will be exclusively done online with advance payment.
- Players are only allowed to register in one category per tournament.
- Registration will be closed 5 days before the tournament.
- The Tournament Committee will evaluate all registered teams to ensure that each team is playing in the correct category.
- Tournament Committee has the right to remove or change the category a team has registered for.
- The draw will be announced 24h before the tournament date.
- Once the draw is announced, any changes to the teams will not be allowed.
- The Tournament Committee reserves the right to disqualify a team or player if believed to not be following the rules.
Who Can Play:
- Open to all professional padel players.
- Players must register before the deadline set by the WPA.
- All players must follow the tournament’s rules set by the WPA.
- 2 Arab Nationalities can register and participate in the Arab + Expat Category.
Arab and Expat Women - Category Rules
A team can consist of either
- Two Arab nationalities playing together.
- An Arab nationality paired with an Expat.
- Two Expats playing together is not allowed.
- Eligibility:
- Open to all women participants of Arab and Expat nationalities.
- Players may be asked to provide valid identification proving nationality upon registering at reception.
- Gameplay Regulations:
- Group stage, followed by rounds, quarterfinals, semifinals, and finals.
- All games are race to 6; in case of a tiebreak at 6-6, a race to 7 points
- Golden point rule applies.
- Outside play is allowed.
- Disqualification is subject to committee review, and the committee has the right to decide at any stage to disqualify.
Men's UAE Nationals - Category Rules
- Team Composition:
- A team must consist of two UAE nationals playing together.
- Eligibility:
- Open only to UAE nationals.
- No current or previous UAE national team members may register.
- Players may be asked to provide valid identification proving nationality upon registering at reception.
- Gameplay Regulations:
- Group stage, followed by rounds, quarterfinals, semifinals, and finals.
- All games are played as a race to 6; in case of a tiebreak at 6-6, a race to 7 points
- Golden point rule applies.
- Outside play is allowed.
- Disqualification is subject to committee review, and the committee has the right to decide at any stage to disqualify.
Men's D - Category Rules
- Team Composition:
- A team can consist of any two male players, as long as they meet the ranking criteria (Men's D category).
- Eligibility:
- All players will be verified using WPPR upon registration
- Players may be asked to provide valid identification upon registering at reception.
- Gameplay Regulations:
- Group stage, followed by next rounds, quarterfinals, semifinals, and finals.
- All games are race to 6; in case of a tiebreak at 6-6, .to 7 points
- Golden point rule applies.
- Outside play is allowed.
- Disqualification is subject to committee review, and the committee has the right to decide at any stage to disqualify.(no refund will be provided)
Match Format:
- Matches will follow the standard padel rules.
- The tournament will be played in knock-out format.
- Match officials will determine the rule in a tie-break.
- No change of partners and schedule is allowed after the draw has been released.
- If one team member or more cannot come to the tournament, the team will be disqualified.
Equipment:
- Players must use approved padel rackets and balls.
- Players should wear proper attire as per the tournament’s dress code.
Behavior:
- Bad behavior, like arguing or being rude, will lead to penalties.
- Players must respect the referees’ decisions.
- Any disagreements should be settled in court, following the official process.
Prizes:
- Prize money will be given out according to the tournament rules.
- Trophies or medals will be given to the winners and runners-up.
Health and Safety:
- Players should make sure they are fit to play.
- The organizers will have medical help on-site if needed.
- Players must follow any health and safety rules in place.
Schedule:
- Matches will be set by the organizers and must be played at the scheduled time.
- Players should arrive at least 30 minutes before their match.
Disqualification:
- Not following the rules can lead to being disqualified.
- Disqualification decisions are final.
Refund Policy:
- Once the team is registered, a cancellation must be made within 48 hours for a refund. No refunds will be given after 48 hours.
- If a player from one team gets a significant injury and cannot continue the match, the match will be considered as a forfeit to the opposing teams.
- During Change over, the player must directly request to go to the toilet if needed. Players will not be allowed to go to the toilet after resting/sitting on the bench.
